Benefits of choosing EcoG's Charge Controller to develop your charging solution:
The EcoG Charge Controller is a pivotal component of EcoG’s core business, serving as an enabler for its software integration. Compliant with industry standards like DIN70121 and ISO 15118, EcoG’s charge controller supports CCS, CHAdeMO, and AC charging protocols, making it versatile and compatible with a wide range of electric vehicles.
The Charge Controller, powered by EcoG OS, communicates with the power converter via Modbus to request charging data like available power and maximum vehicle-to-be-charged power. The Charge Controller then sets voltage and other data points for charging to allow safety precautions like emergency termination of charging but doesn't execute safety procedures. Charging data is accessible through the Local Web Interface and stored in real-time on an AWS cloud server.
The integrated Charge Controller streamlines systems by eliminating separate PLCs, reducing costs and simplifying architecture. EcoG provides regular updates for compatibility with current and future cars. With ample I/Os and interfaces, integration into charging systems is seamless. The hardware-agnostic design ensures compatibility across various systems without needing hardware adjustments.
The Charge Controller shares an interface with the Application Board for displaying charger status, including main wire measurements and connected charger details. The Application Board can also link the controller to the customer network. The Charge Controller interacts with the Local Web Interface for features like Charge Overview, Circuit Control, and EV emulation.
